At the end of April 2024 I took a trip to the heart of Finland to photograph its wildlife. Surrounded by endless forests decorated with the last snows of the year, I was lucky enough to be able to observe up close some of the most beautiful animals in the Scandinavian country. Near the city of Kuhmo, on the same border with Russia, there is an area called no man´s land where civilians are not allowed access since it is an area militarized by both countries, with a historical dispute over the accuracy of the border line. This exceptional situation provides a magnificent opportunity for wildlife lovers to observe and photograph the animals that reside there, from a hide without the annoying presence of people.
